What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a treatment for a wide variety of emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, work difficulties, troubled relationships, sexual concerns, and issues of self-esteem.

When is it time to see a therapist?

If you are feeling depressed, anxious, angry, irritable, stuck or confused and if your relationships, social life, parenting abilities or work are suffering because you can't seem to motivate or function properly, it is always a good idea to discuss these concerns with a professional.

How long will Psychotherapy take?

Length of treatment depends on many factors including the type of issue, the complexity of your situation, and what you are looking to accomplish.

Are our sessions confidential?

We will not disclose any information about you or any session content unless you give me specific written authorization to do so (Hipaa).

What type of therapy and/or counseling do you provide?

We enjoy working collaboratively with clients by exploring unconscious conflicts and developing insight into patterns of behavior.

How much will psychotherapy cost?

The cost of therapy is always an important consideration. Please visit our Insurance and Fees page for more details on in-network, out-of-network and a sliding scale payment.

What is the initial consultation / first appointment like?

At your initial call with us, we will help you find the right therapist from our group. This initial call will take up to 15 minutes and is free of charge.

Do I have to come to sessions weekly?

The frequency of therapy sessions, the length of time we work together, and the termination of treatment are decisions the client and the psychotherapist will work out together.

How long is each session?

Each session is 45 minutes in length.
